Every Color Drop project is backed by a written, itemized warranty spelled out on your proposal, right alongside scope of work, paint specs, price breakdown, payment terms, schedule, and exclusions. Two years of workmanship coverage on top of the manufacturer's coverage for the paint we install. Plain English. No fine-print traps.
2-year workmanship
If our workmanship fails (peeling, flaking, or adhesion issues on a properly prepped surface), we come back and fix it. No hourly charges, no travel fees.
Manufacturer coverage passes through
Every gallon we install comes with the manufacturer's product warranty (Sherwin-Williams, Benjamin Moore, etc.). We keep the paperwork and file the claim for you.
Warranty starts on final walkthrough
Not on the day we started. Coverage begins the day you sign the completion walkthrough. Every day of coverage is a real day of coverage.
What's covered
- Peeling, blistering, or flaking on properly prepped surfaces
- Adhesion failure on manufacturer-approved substrates
- Excessive fading beyond what the manufacturer specs for our climate
- Workmanship issues: bleed-through, drip marks, missed spots on final walkthrough
- Touch-up paint labeled and left with you at handoff
What's not covered
- Normal wear and tear on high-traffic areas (hallways, stair rails, door frames)
- Structural movement, settling, or cracking of the substrate
- Water intrusion, active leaks, or moisture from unresolved sources
- Physical abuse, impact, vandalism, or misuse of finished surfaces
- Acts of nature: storms, wind-driven debris, hail, fire, flooding
- Failure on substrates painted against our written recommendation
- Alterations or coatings applied by others after our final walk-through
