How do I get a quote and how does your pricing work?
Send us photos or schedule a free on-site walk-through and we'll send a full written proposal: scope of work, areas included, surface preparation, paint specifications (brand, product, sheen, coat count), an itemized price breakdown, payment terms, estimated schedule, exclusions, and warranty. Pricing is based on square footage, surface condition, and product spec, not guesswork.
What's included in the line-item estimate?
Every Color Drop proposal covers the same nine sections: scope of work, areas included, surface preparation, paint specifications, itemized price breakdown, payment terms, estimated schedule, exclusions, and warranty details. Company info, license number, and your project address are on every page. Nothing gets started without your signed acceptance.
What affects the price of a painting job?
The biggest drivers are square footage, surface condition (how much scraping, patching, and priming is needed), height and access, coat count and paint spec, color changes, and whether the space is occupied or vacant. Custom finishes, cabinetry, and after-hours or phased scheduling can also move the number. Every driver is itemized on your proposal so you can see where the price comes from.
What's a typical project timeline?
Most interior repaints run 2–4 days, exteriors 3–7 days, and multi-family or commercial jobs are scheduled in phases so we never shut down a building. Your written proposal lists an estimated start and completion window, plus how the schedule is broken up by area. Get in touch and we'll map out a realistic timeline for your project.
Do you handle prep and cleanup?
Yes, surface preparation is spelled out in your proposal, not tacked on later. Wash, scrape, sand, patch, caulk, and prime are itemized per surface so you know exactly what's included. At the end of each day the site is swept, masking is pulled, and your space is left walk-through ready.
What's typically excluded from a painting proposal?
Most painting proposals exclude structural repair (rot, framing, drywall replacement beyond patching), mold remediation, lead or asbestos abatement, electrical or plumbing work, roof repair, and code upgrades, plus anything not listed in the scope of work. Every Color Drop proposal has an Exclusions section spelling this out in plain language so nothing is assumed.
What warranty do you offer?
Every project comes with a written workmanship warranty. The exact term, what's covered, and what's excluded are printed on your proposal alongside the manufacturer's paint warranty. Typical exclusions include normal wear and tear, structural movement, water intrusion, physical abuse, and acts of nature. Two full coats of premium paint are standard, and commercial and HOA contracts can include extended terms.

Yes, Color Drop Painting LLC holds Nevada State C-4 Painting & Decorating License #0092296 and Utah Contractors License #14220959-5501, and carries general liability and workers' comp on every crew. License numbers are printed on every proposal, and certificates of insurance are sent before we mobilize.
